Hello there! My name is Alexander Avteniev, but I generally go by Sasha. I'm a second-year Game Design and Development student at RIT, with a focus in physics and game engines. While most of my school work is based on game development and coding, I also have a passion for art and animation. I am currently a part of the Echoes project at RIT and am super excited for the work to come!
I have extensive experience working in teams and independently. While most of my projects have been collaborative, I have many personal work examples.
Being a part of a team while also having to take care of my own work independently is something I've gotten used to. With over ten years of training Jiu-Jitsu at the same academy, I'm pretty accustomed to having to take care of business on my own, even with a team cheering behind me.
I've also been playing games my whole life, analog and digital. I've designed board games and created and ran a One Piece-inspired table-top role-playing game for friends. I love most games, but some of my favorites include the varied list of Sekiro, Pokemon Black 2, Overwatch 2, Deadlock, Street Fighter 6, Dragon Ball Fighterz, and The Isle.
In addition, I love animation, and I've watched lots of anime specifically. It was always a big part of growing up and has been a massive inspiration for me. A big part of why I loved learning to animate was that it gave me a new understanding of the work that went into the shows I loved.
To conclude, I'm a big food lover, an extensive traveler, and always open to new opportunities. I'm willing to work in any environment and can rapidly adapt to change.
Most of all, I'm very excited to create new things!
